The Miami Heat have a tough matchup on Saturday as the second night of back to back set. For the third time in about a month or so, they will face the 76ers.

After the Miami Heat came away on Friday with what seemed like a tougher than it should have been victory over the Indiana Pacers, they are right back at it on Saturday against a familiar foe in the Philadelphia 76ers. To start from the top, it seemed “tougher than it should have” because the Pacers were without their best player thus far on the season and still haven’t gotten their superstar back from injury. Malcolm Brogdon didn’t play in the game, while Victor Oladipo is still rehabbing from his quad injury.

When thinking about the familiarity of Philadelphia, it’s not just that the Miami Heat have already faced them twice this season to split results, but they have seemingly played them a ton over the past few seasons, be that in the playoffs and/or regular season. The frequency of the matchup is only amplified by the pure disdain that the two clubs and their players seem to have for one another. While it remains in between the confines of the court, there is real vitriol on the hardwood between these two clubs.

The Philadelphia 76ers were able to knock off Giannis Antetokounpo and Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas day, but they were plucked by the Orlando Magic on Friday night. That is the inconsistency that they have shown all year that doesn’t look that promising when predicting out for a seven-game series, either way though, expect them to be juiced for this matchup on Saturday and especially after losing to the other Florida team on just the prior evening. Here is everything else you need to know about this game.
