NBA Dunk Contest- Derrick Jones Jr

Do we really need to explain? We call the man Airplane Mode for crying out loud and for very good reason.

Ask Rudy Gobert if Jones Jr. is worthy. Without a ton of explanation needed, Derrick Jones Jr. should and needs to be there. He is, without a doubt, a top-three slam dunker in the league.

NBA Three-Point Shooting Competition- Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, & Meyers Leonard

The Miami Heat are deadly from three-point range. When’s the last time you heard that?

The three mentioned above are a huge part of that, while Goran Dragic can also take credit for having a huge part in this phenomenon as well. Either way, the three above would all be well in their rights to compete in such an event.

Tyler Herro can shoot it from any which way you want it, but his three-point ability is already elite. Duncan Robinson is already one of the best shooters from deep in the entire NBA, challenging NBA and Miami Heat three-point shooting records on a nightly basis it seems, while Meyers Leonard has been one of the leading percentage three-point shooters all year.

Meyers’ setup and release can be a bit sluggish at times, which may hinder him in a competition like this, but his ability to nail them is real. Either way, either or all three of these Miami Heat guys could do well there.
