The Miami Heat will face the Washington Wizards on Monday. With the Wizards being about as banged up as possible, some are even talking “trap game”.

The Miami Heat are one of the best teams in the NBA. That’s it, that’s the statement.

At this point, you have to be willing to go there right? After two back to back in conference victories to tough opponents, Malcolm Brogdon or not for the Pacers, you have to be convinced that the Miami Heat are legit and for real, right? Maybe you don’t, but either way, you may as well accept it because they are.

They will continue their campaign on Monday by taking on a familiar divisional foe in the Washington Wizards. There are a few interesting tidbits of note to this contest.

The first one revolves around a traditional sports notion when you have a team playing as well as the Heat going into a game where they are supposed to win and win big. The classic trap game is this notion we speak of.

With the Wizards missing six of their main guys, John Wall being included although he hasn’t played since last season with the Achilles issue and with Bradley Beal being questionable, it has some wondering whether this is one of those games. This list includes one huge Miami Heat fan, that also just so happens to be the greatest player in the franchise’s history.

While the Heat should definitely have their antennae up for such an event, we think things will work out just fine for them here. The other interesting tidbit of note is the fact that there has seemed to be linkage between Bradley Beal and the Heat since the beginning of summer, although the extension Beal signed prevents him from being moved for a while.

Either way, the Miami Heat should take this game and with ease, especially considering all of the talent that the Wiz will be without. Here is everything else you need to know about the game.
