The first returns are in for All-Star fan voting, and it’s no surprise that Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat rank in the top 10 front court spots.

We’re ramping up to All-Star season as the first fan voting returns are in for the NBA All-Star game. Miami Heat co-stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo made the list, to the surprise of nobody.

Jimmy Butler appears fourth, just outside the starting three spots which are currently occupied by Giannis Antetokounmpo (who is second in votes to Luka Doncic with 1,073.358 votes), Joel Embiid and Pascal Siakam. Butler has received 431,483 votes so far.

Bam Adebayo appears further down the list, checking in at seventh with 104,086 votes. While Adebayo will be relying on the coach and player portion of the vote in order to get a reserve spot (as expected), it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Butler to climb into that third spot and wrest it away from Siakam.

If he keeps up his stellar play and turns around his offensive woes, trailing by less than 113,000 votes might prove to be no big deal in his quest to make his fifth All-Star game.

So far this season, Butler is scoring 20.8 points per game. While shooting just 43 percent from the floor and 27.7 percent from 3-point range, he’s made up for it with an incredible free-throw rate of .708, meaning he shoots that percentile of free throws for every field goal attempt.

He’s also averaging 6.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, two steals and 0.6 blocks per game. Aside from shooting the ball, he’s done absolutely everything else wonderfully.

As for Bam Adebayo, in his first full season as starter, he’s exploded onto the scene. He’s averaging 15.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game and is a beast both defensively and play making for his teammates.

Next. Josh Richardson's disposition confirms Jimmy Butler's displeasure. dark
