The Miami Heat will face the Indiana Pacers for the second time this season Wednesday and also for the second time within a few weeks. Can they succeed?
The Miami Heat will look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday night as they head to the home of the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis. Bankers Life Fieldhouse should be rocking and ready to go as the visiting Heat shuffle through the doors.
This is especially the case for three reasons. The Miami Heat are an Eastern Conference foe and somewhat of a rival since the Big 3 era showdowns, the Miami Heat are a top team in the East and the entire league, and of course, the Miami Heat beat them less than two weeks ago back on December 27th in Miami.
This should be a really good matchup in Indiana, with the Miami Heat only prevailing by one point in their last matchup. This was a game that the Indiana team was playing without Malcolm Brogdon and it may end up being that way again on Wednesday, as he didn’t play in their last game against Charlotte.
Another player to keep an eye on for the Pacers is T.J. Warren. He’s averaging 23.5 points per game over his last four games, which was capped by a 36 point performance in their last game against the Charlotte Hornets, which only added to his 18.3 points per game average for the season.
It will be interesting to see if Coach Spo decides to give James Johnson some minutes on him. It could go to conserve Jimmy Butler, who would be coming off a game missed due to back tightness, while also giving Warren a bigger and more physical specimen to contend with. Here is everything else you need to know about the game.
