In our ongoing Miami Heat Hot Topics series, we’ll take a look at a bad road trip, Justise Winslow’s situation and why the Heat need the second seed.
In our ongoing Miami Heat Hot Topics series, we’ll catch up on the stories we’ve written so far this past couple days here at All U Can Heat. Among our topics, we discuss the Heat’s bad road trip, especially the New York swing. We also take a look at Justise Winslow‘s health and availability, and a wild encounter between Jimmy Butler and T.J. Warren when the Heat played the Indiana Pacers.
Without any further delay, let’s get started.
Why the Heat must stay in the second seed
As the Miami Heat enter their first real stretch of hardship this season, the future looks less certain now than it did a week or two ago. One thing that is clear, however, is that the Heat need to zero in on the second seed and hold onto it for dear life. It gives them the easiest path to the Eastern Conference Finals by far, and anything below the two seed would put them in a fight for their lives against brutally tough competition.
Jimmy Butler’s outburst is exactly what we love
Things got crazy last week in a game between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat. There was an altercation between Jimmy Butler and T.J. Warren, and things spilled over into social media after the game. It was wildly entertaining stuff, and it speaks to Butler’s intensity. That’s one of the things the Heat were eager to bring into the fold when they traded for him last summer, and we saw it manifest.
Bam Adebayo’s 3 goals revisited
In our preseason 3 goals series, each Heat player was assigned three goals to achieve in the coming season. Bam Adebayo was one such player, and our very own Kenneth Wilson revisited his assigned goals to see how close he’s come to achieving them so far in this remarkably impressive season. Needless to say, Adebayo fares well in this look back as he looks to mount an All-Star campaign.
Justise Winslow to miss more time with bone bruise setback
It’s been a season to forget for Justise Winslow. While he’s been essentially the missing piece for almost everything that ails the Miami Heat so far this season, he hasn’t been able to get on track from a physical perspective. He’s been battling a bone bruise in his lower back for well over a month, and after a brief return on this road trip, he’s been shut down for at least the short term once again.
Heat’s second consecutive loss spoils the Big Apple
In his debut piece for AUCH, our Max Marshall broke down the final stage of the New York portion of the Heat’s road trip. It was an ignominious end to a bad trip, and yet somehow an appropriate microcosm for what has gone wrong lately for this team.
