The Miami Heat face a familiar foe Wednesday night. Although they haven’t tussled on the grandest stage in some time, there’s still linkage betwixt the two.

The Miami Heat come into Wednesday evening’s contest off of their worst sequence of games all season. This sequence also just so happens to be the first occasion in which the Heat have lost back to back consecutive games at any point this season. Throw in the added dynamic of who the defeats came to, and that makes it just that much more the disappointment that it truly is.

After dropping a game that they should have won to the Brooklyn Nets, controlling the game for the most part until the Nets started to make big shots, they then just knew they would be able to bounce back against the lowly Knickerbockers of New York. Wrong they were, as the Knicks kept it close throughout and eventually made more plays in the closing stretch than the Miami Heat did.

Coach Spo was expressively angry after the contest, which comes on the heels of comments last week where he said that this team was just “mediocre” on the road. It really showed in this latest Gotham City-based road trip, but luckily, this next game against the Spurs is at home. Here is everything else you need to know about the contest.
