The Miami Heat will kick off a five-game road trip in the toughest way Wednesday. Can they walk into the home of one of the best teams and succeed?

The Miami Heat will open a five-game road trip on Wednesday in the toughest possible manner if you base that proclamation on competition combined with circumstances. Not only do they have to go completely across the country to play the game after demolishing the 76ers in Miami on Monday, but they have to travel all that way just to face one of the absolute best teams in the league in the LA Clippers.

Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the game though, the Miami Heat will be ready. If Jimmy Butler has anything to do with it, there will be no excuses made by this Heat team. Not only will they be without excuses though, but they will also be without a few key members of what they have going on down in South Beach this season.

While this leaves a few holes in the rotation, as Coach Spo would say, “we have enough”. Enough they do, however, there is still a bit of confusion about who should slot into that starting spot with Meyers Leonard down.

Some people think Kelly Olynyk might slide into the role, while some even think James Johnson will get the call. If you ask me, Derrick Jones Jr. will be tasked to start at the power forward position, while Bam Adebayo will slide down to the starting center position. Here is everything else you need to know about this matchup.
