Alone, They Are Not!

They aren’t alone, because we can’t remember one either. That begs of a certain question though. Is it time for the Miami Heat to think about getting Crowder locked up beyond this year, considering that the end of the season sees him become a free agent?

I think the answer to this question is yes. Here are the reasons why.

We have laid out his performance since coming over and although that is a small sample size, that is most indicative of his typical output. While some people want to look at it sideways, here is the science. We are our most genuine, our most authentic, the most “ourselves” that we will ever be in our formative years.

There is a certain naivety there about the world and social norms that allow us to be filterless and expressive in a fashion that we “feel” we shouldn’t as we become a bit older, for most of us at least. This is what Jae Crowder has done while being somewhat naive to the Heat’s offense, philosophy, ways of going about things, and different various programs. It only serves to believe that he will be that much better once he is fully engulfed in the Miami Heat system and mechanism.

When thinking about his fit, he is a Miami Heat type of guy. When it comes to a guy simply working hard, beyond and above his particular skill set, Crowder fits that mold as that’s the type of guy that the Heat desire to have on the roster.

When thinking about these qualities and how they fit with Jimmy Butler, I have come to this conclusion. Jae Crowder is Jimmy Butler, just a slightly less athletic and skilled version.
