The Best Is Yet To Come!

Saturday night will see more Miami Heat players get in on the action. The Miami Heat’s favorite aerial assault artist, Mr. Air Plane Mode Derrick Jones Jr. himself, will compete in Saturday’s Slam Dunk Contest.

The flame-throwing Duncan Robinson will also attempt to light the nets up as well in the Three-point shooting competition. The Miami Heat’s uber skilled near 7-foot point guard will let his skills be shown as well on Saturday night as Bam Adebayo will attempt to bring home the NBA Skills competition title.

Not from a homer standpoint exclusively or intentionally but we can go ahead and say with full confidence that the Miami Heat’s trio has just as good an opportunity to win each and every one of the events that they are participating in as any other participant. There is no other dunker with the length, explosiveness, and aerial hang-time that Derrick Jones Jr. has, so while there may be someone equal, there is no one better.

Although there may be someone who can match him, no one can flat-out shoot the ball better from three than Duncan Robinson, it’s not possible. Big man, little man, or whatever kind of man you want to put him up against and on either side of the ball, Bam Adebayo is capable of matching them, stride for stride and/or dribble for dribble. It could be a Miami Heat kind of night.

We should be right back at you a little later with a little bit of a deeper dive into Saturday’s events, but this has been just a taste. The All-Star Game is a glorified pick-up game, although the new format may help a bit there, we just hope Bam and Jimmy Butler don’t get hurt and we would be more than happy with the results. As the first half of our year has been here in the Heat Culture, All-Star Saturday night could be a pretty good stretch that sees a lot of Miami Heat wins.
