The Miami Heat landed stud rookie Tyler Herro from Kentucky with the 13th pick of the last NBA Draft. Based on this year, he should have been 3rd and it shows.

Pat Riley, the head man for the Miami Heat, has always been ahead of the game. As a coach, he was responsible for leading one of the greatest teams to ever grace the NBA hardwood.

As an executive, he not only took a shot on a little known prospect from Marquette who turned out to be an NBA and Miami Heat legend, but he also brought him Shaq, which led to the Heat’s first NBA title. We also all know that he was responsible for one of the most entertaining and dominant trifectas that the league has ever seen in the Big 3.

We know that Riles is sharp when it comes to the game of basketball, always has been and continues to be. This has been clear in all he has done, although at times he’s been questioned.

Well, he did it again. When he drafted Tyler Herro out of Kentucky, there were admittedly mixed reactions, but boy, were they wrong. So much so, that we are here to tell you that he shouldn’t have even made it to the 13th pick, but he should have actually been third.

While there are quite a few ways to make this case, we will use two specific measures to make ours. When you think about the daunted eye test, the most traditional gauge of something based on what we can see with our own two eyes, that will be the first test. The second parameter we will use is a rookie ranking system from Hashtag Basketball
