“Spoisms”

Some people would consider these his “mannerisms” as well, but here is how we break it down. Mannerisms for us, represent behaviors, whereas Spoisms are little sayings that Spo either created or has come to be known for saying.

Our absolute favorite Spoism is “we have enough”. When faced with injury questions or questions about overachieving rosters with true and apparent lack of talent, Spo’s answer remains the same. “We have enough”.

This means that regardless of all the excuses that can be made, Spo believes if they play Miami Heat basketball, they always have a chance to compete. He has others too. These include “it’s not for everybody” when talking about the players that play for the Miami Heat or “who cares” when a media member or someone tries to make an excuse or ask him about anything other than something he or the team did wrong to cost them a game.

Spo has a few more that can be mentioned here as well, but these are the ones that come up the most. He is always saying something profound, whether it be postgame, pregame, or during media availability on off days.

Between his story, his ability to relate, his quirks, his sayings, and other things, there is a ton to like about Coach Erik Spoelstra. These are reasons though, that we think you just have to love the guy.
