With the Miami Heat around since 1988, there have been many franchise-altering moments. Here are the most impactful of those moments.

With current Miami Heat news being on hold for now, the best content to keep every Heat fan engaged is rankings. Who does not love rankings?

Everyone loves rankings. So, here, we will be ranking the most impactful moments of the team’s history.

In the 32 seasons, the Heat have had moments that were simply just unbelievable. They’ve reached the finals five times, winning three of them, but team success is not the only thing that has impacted the franchise. There were trades, free agency signings, and coaching changes that made all of the team’s success even possible.

But what does it mean when a moment is impactful? How do you even measure the impact?

Well, I view it through the lens of how it impacts the team’s championship odds. Winning championships is the ultimate goal for any team in any sport.

So, these moments can impact the team in a way where it either increases or decreases a team’s chance at a title now and/or in the future. That is one of the major factors that is considered when determining how impactful a moment was. Did it impact the team in the short-term or long-term?

Before we get into the rankings, here are some honorable mentions.
