4. The trade:

Everyone loves to talk about the great Miami Heat culture, but many do not realize that Alonzo Mourning was a huge part of this. Before his arrival, the Heat were stuck in mediocrity, but that all changed when Mourning came into town.

Although he was not the only player joining the team that season, he was without a doubt the best player on the team. During his first season in Miami, he averaged 23.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 2.7 blocks per game and if you think that is good, he was only going to get better.

In his time in Miami, he won two Defensive Player Of The Year awards along with finishing top three in Most Valuable Player voting twice. That was the standard he set for everyone else.

He was the exact player that embodied the Heat culture. You still hear it now, when looking at Bam Adebayo and the personality he has, they say he is like Mourning.

Although during his prime, the Heat were not able to get over the hump and even reach the NBA finals, the impact Mourning had on the franchise cannot be measured. After he rejoined the team in 2005, he was a key player in the 2006 championship run.
