Even with the hiatus, the Miami Heat and the rest of the NBA should be gearing up for the NBA Draft. Here are 3 questions on one prospect in particular.

The Miami Heat were having quite the season before the NBA suspension kicked in. While many thought that they would be nothing more than a middling team around the NBA and even with Jimmy Butler’s services, they have come out a “shocked the world“, in the words of another great Miami Heat alumni.

While Jimmy Butler has been a godsend to the Miami Heat basketball outlook, they have also managed to accomplish all they’ve accomplished on the backs of some pretty accomplished rookies. Try saying that five times fast.

When looking at this phenomenon though, it isn’t that rare when talking about the Miami Heat as they are infamous for being able to pull the absolute most out of their players, be they journeymentroubled playersno-name guys, or even rookies. With that in mind though, it begins us to wondering who might be the next guy in that line of success.

Enter Vernon Carey Jr. of Duke. Rated the number 28 prospect overall, according to ESPN, the Miami native could be the perfect fit for the team in South Beach, or is he? We aren’t sure about either of those, but here are three questions we would ask in making that decision.
