With Miami Heat and the rest of NBA play suspended as of now, the headlines aren’t game related. Most of the recent haven’t been about current players at all.

The Miami Heat haven’t played a game in almost two months now, like the rest of the NBA. With the absence of real and actual gameplay, the news headlines quickly shift to the auxiliary news surrounding the league and more specifically here, the Miami Heat.

While some of the news has been about current Miami Heat players and general NBA policy moving forward, such as the impending free agency of Jae Crowder and Derrick Jones Jr. or how the Heat should go about operating American Airlines Arena at the moment as we navigate current times, most of the news has been about former players.

We here at AUCH have found a way to incorporate a bit of current player news into our coverage, but we too have been subject to the lack of actual games. We did cover Derrick Jones Jr. a bit, but only to make a point about a project facilitated by the NBA suspension. This was the FanSided NBA Network’s 2017 NBA Re-Draft.

We also touched on Udonis Haslem‘s resemblance to Dennis Rodman, the Miami Heat specific version of course, which was facilitated mostly by the phenomenon that is ESPN’s The Last Dance Documentary. That has also been a huge hit as far as a driver of content.
