Former Miami Heat champion LeBron James took to Twitter on Thursday to let his feelings be known about the season being canceled. Will the league listen?

The Miami Heat still aren’t playing basketball again. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, the whole league isn’t, if it makes us feel any better.

Well, it doesn’t. It also makes us feel no better when we hear talk of the NBA canceling the remainder of the season. Not only would that make us upset at the moment with the actual act of canceling, but as Miami Heat fans, it would make us especially perturbed considering the unexpected success we have seen this season.

Pat Riley took the time over the last few days to let his feelings be known on the matter, but he isn’t the only NBA powerbroker to do so in recent days. On his personal Twitter account on Thursday, LeBron James also took it upon himself to respond to certain whispers that he’s been hearing. Here is his quote.

"Saw some reports about execs and agents wanting to cancel season??? That’s absolutely not true. Nobody I know saying anything like that. As soon as it’s safe we would like to finish our season. I’m ready and our team is ready. Nobody should be canceling anything.[King’s Crown emoji]"

Well, the “King” is obviously not thrilled by the rumors and whispers that he’s heard recently either. As he stated, he hasn’t encountered anyone who feels this way and you can be most certain that he rubs shoulders and gets cozy with quite a few of the major players and other powerbrokers around the world of sports and the NBA.

With the reports of potentially amping the season up again in places such as Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida steadily popping up, it seems inevitable that the NBA will begin again soon. It would not only be an economical nightmare if they didn’t pick back up, but it would be a literal nightmare for sports and Miami Heat fans all over the world.

This season still has greatness left in it to be harvested and we deserve the opportunity to try and squeeze every little single solitary bit of it out.
