Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem is the portrait of charity, character, and fortitude. He’s now continuing to give back by allowing fans to get cool stuff.

The Miami Heat have had quite the list of great basketball players come through their doors. You can start from Dwyane Wade, the greatest Miami Heat player of all time, and go on back. Whether you hit LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, or any number of great ones, the Miami Heat have been fortunate from that perspective.

Although not outwardly important enough to have its own rankings list, such as ESPN’s greatest NBA players of all time and although they still had Dwyane Wade under-ranked, the Miami Heat have also had quite their share of simply really good people, men, and teammates come through their doors.

While there have surely been many, Dwyane Wade again, Chris Bosh, and Brian Grant come to mind. However, when I think of being a really good man, person, and teammate, no other person comes to mind with greater ferocity than Udonis Haslem.

He is always there to seemingly motivate, inspire, and be an example. He has done that for so many years in the Miami Heat’s building and locker room, while he continues to do the same thing today.

Even in the midst of our current world situation, the coronavirus pandemic, UD has continued to try and set the example for us all. This is from way back to standing up for his city at the beginning of it all to the work he has done to help those in his hometown throughout it all.

In typical Udonis Haslem Fashion though, he has done it again. This time, Haslem has teamed up with Engage to give back, while giving away quite a few cool things in the process.

Miami Heat lifer, Udonis Haslem, has always been a man for his city and willing to be that example. He continues that now by constantly finding ways to give back.

Udonis Haslem took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the partnership. Here is the announcement from his own personal Twitter account.

He gives his credentials, well earned and deserved of course, before he then proceeds to give details surrounding the contest. Here are a few more details from the information page linked to the tweet.

"Udonis is Miami born and raised and he’s doing his part to help his city through the COVID 19 pandemic. The Grand Prize winner will have the opportunity to choose between a round of golf with UD, a Miami HEAT VIP Experience, a workout session with UD, or pizza-making with UD at 800 Degrees Miami. Udonis is also giving away  incredible prizes at each entry level including food delivery from him, autographed memorabilia, the chance to join him on Instagram live and more!Udonis is picking many winners, so don’t miss out on your chance to win the opportunity of a lifetime!Even better, ALL proceeds from these fundraising efforts will go to the Power Forward Through Hunger initiative on behalf of Udonis Haslem Children’s Foundation! Power Forward through Hunger is an initiative with the City of Miami to address short-term food insecurities that local residents are facing as a result of COVID-19. ALL proceeds from these fundraising efforts will go to this initiative."

The entry system to the contest is a neat little mechanism. Each of the seven tiers of entry fees, ranging from $5-$500 dollars in unequal increments of increase, gets you at least one entry into the “grand prize drawing”, while each tier and price comes with a different amount of entries into a drawing for that particular tiers specific prize.

It all boils down to the fact of being willing to pay to enter the tier of drawings that feature the secondary prize you are most interested in, as the grand prize drawings seem to come out to five dollars per entry. The secondary prizes from each tier range from a signed shirt from UD to an autographed jersey delivered by the man himself.

No matter what the prizes are and although there are some might fine ones available there, the cause is what’s most important here. By all accounts and especially ours, it’s a great one. More good work from the OG, but what else would you expect?
