As the Miami Heat and NBA season inches closer and closer to a return, here are three questions for this Heat team to look into answering down the stretch.

After two months on hiatus, the Miami Heat (along with the rest of the NBA) are preparing for a return to the court. Unconventionally isolated in the land where dreams come true, Walt Disney World, leads the clubhouse when it comes to where they will potentially privately play out the rest of the 2019-2020 season.

Whether that means fulfilling the remainder of the regular season or jump-starting things by hopping right into playoffs, that has yet to be decided. As of Monday, all options are still on the table: including a continuation of the season until each team reaches 70 games and an overall 16-seed playoff bracket where conference affiliated rankings are a moot point.

That means that Miami could see five more regular-season games before going to the postseason, or could potentially host the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs.

The Coronavirus outbreak shut things down temporarily, but as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday afternoon, the league is getting closer and closer to resuming.

The aforementioned options are just two among (likely) hundreds of scenarios that have been discussed. Either way it seems the season’s resumption is certain, which is good for the Heat.

But ahead of their return to the court, whether in the regular or postseason, there are questions that need answering. A look at the three most pressing for Miami’s team and the front office.
