The Miami Heat were given major praise in ESPN’s Season Awards piece, however, one of their main players worthy of praise was left out.

That is really why this next piece of information stands to bug me so much. In case you haven’t heard, ESPN released a survey today that polled people whom they have dubbed “the ESPN Forecast panel of experts”, in order to take a tally on who they think should win the NBA season awards. They titled the piece, NBA awards predictions: Who will and should win this season?

A fair accurate title and clear enough, some might say, that much is true. What isn’t clear though is that if these people should be allowed to vote on a panel of such magnitude ever again.

Although they did get a few things right, they got something all and totally wrong. While Bam Adebayo, Kendrick Nunn, and Coach Spo rightfully received votes for Most Improved Player, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year, respectively, they forgot to mention somebody on this list.

There is no world and I do mean not a single solitary one, where Goran Dragic shouldn’t be a top candidate for Sixth Man of the Year and nevertheless, not even on the list. Do these so called “experts” even watch NBA basketball. Let me illustrate.
