With the NBA preparing to make their 22-team return, a look at the two largest questions facing the Miami Heat and league as a whole.

The Miami Heat will have a chance to contend for the 2020 championship after all. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that NBA’s board of governors plan on approving commissioner Adam Silver’s proposal for a 22-team restart in Orlando.

It sure seems that way with Jimmy Butler and company having rejoined the Heat in Miami.

Each of the 22 teams headed to Florida will play eight more regular season games to determine seeding for the playoffs. Then the postseason bracket will be determined and playoffs will be played out at the Walt Disney World Resort through mid-October.

Silver will meet with the board of governors on Thursday at 12:30 pm est. There will be a vote whether or not to move on the proposed 22-team return for the NBA. If passed then teams can begin planning for the last leg of what has been a long year for basketball.

A lot of factors regarding this proposal are still up in the air. Before the vote goes underway, a look at the two most pressing issues for the Miami Heat ahead of their return to the floor.
