The Miami Heat are to be feared in Orlando, that goes without saying as they’ll outwork anyone. Here are about 10 stats that go beyond hustle to prove it.

As the Miami Heat and the league as a whole get set to tip things back off, it’s time to start diving back into the whole story of it all. While a big part of it is what we see with our eyes, that isn’t the entire story.

I am one of those people that likes to trust his eyes, the eye-test, more than anything but there are some stories that only the numbers can tell. Even I have to admit that.

With the Miami Heat in mind, there is a certain narrative that some of the numbers tend to illustrate and it bodes well for them in Orlando once they get set to make a potential title run through the playoffs.

So, without any further hesitation, here are 10 stats that show why they should be feared in Orlando.

1. 7th best offensive rating- 112.2 PPG

This stat says exactly what it is, the Miami Heat are the seventh-best offensive team in the league across 100 possessions. If all things were equal, there are only six teams in the league that can simply outgun the Miami Heat on any given night.

With the way that sports work, if there are only six teams around that can absolutely complete the objective of the entire game, which is to score baskets, better than they can as a unit, I like their chances of being able to pull a rabbit out of their hats on the those six if need be.

With only around 3.5 points separating the Heat and the league-leading Mavericks in that category, with less than a point separating the Heat from most others, the difference can be accounted for across a seven-game series if playing a higher-ranked team. That is why this a stat that should make the Heat feared in Orlando.
