There are numerous players outside of South Beach with the qualities that fit Miami Heat’s prized culture and characteristics. Here’s a look at five.

The Miami Heat pride themselves on bringing in a “certain type of guy”. When they look for players and even if they don’t already embody the “culture” already, they seek out qualities that they know can be molded into those that the Miami Heat culture is built upon.

This isn’t defined by your ability to hit a jump shot, how high you can jump, or how fancy you can dribble. This parameter is determined by how hard, far, and long you are willing to go in order to get the ultimate mission accomplished.

That mission is also one that isn’t defined by individual success, but one measured by the success of the team. Those aren’t all of the details that make up the daunted Miami Heat culture, but it is those notions that it is built upon. With that in mind, here’s a look at five players from around the league that look like a hand in glove fits for the culture.

Eric Paschall

Eric Paschall of the Golden State Warriors is the second coming of Draymond Green. That’s at least what you see when you look at it on the surface.

When you scratch a bit of that top layer off though, what you find out is that he actually the upgraded version of Draymond. He is a little bit bigger, only if slightly.

He is quite a bit more of a naturally fluid athlete, having a frame that more naturally suits the up and down fast-paced athletic action of the NBA, as opposed to the more stocky and firmly put together frame of Green, who has had to work every day to maintain his shape and conditioning.

Paschall is also a little bit more skilled than Draymond Green. While Green can do just about a little bit of everything, so can Paschall. The difference here though is that you actually trust Paschall more already and at this point when it comes to actually doing things offensively with the ball.

He seems like a fit for the Miami Heat culture because he displays that no-nonsense do everything demeanor that the Miami Heat look for. If you need him to score 20 points, no problem, he’ll do it.

If you need to him to not score at all, but focus primarily on defending or rebounding, he will do that too. Paschall just plays the game the right way.

He does whatever needs to be done to get the win for his team and appears to not mind doing it. That is why he looks like a future Miami Heat player.
