As the Miami Heat and NBA look to restart their season, they are setting up scrimmages for each team. Justise Winslow seems ready to face his old team.
As the Miami Heat and the NBA as a whole get ready to restart their seasons, things are starting to fall in place. Well, kind of.
Aside from the many speed bumps and hurdles that continue to arise in the form of positive tests for coronavirus, things are starting to take shape. As a sidebar to that though, those positive tests do offer a real concern as to if the season will actually finish though. It is definitely something worth considering, pondering, or thinking about.
With that very real and logical, 100 percent if it’s the safest thing to do, realization in mind, let us imagine that things will go on as planned. In an effort to get the players back into some kind of playing shape, the NBA has helped in that area by organizing scrimmages against other teams that will be in the NBA Bubble.
As small as it may be and as you will have to click on the picture within the tweet from the NBA to see it all, there is a game worth mentioning scheduled for Tuesday, July 28th. Yep, you see it. It is a game between our very own Miami Heat and the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Miami Heat will scrimmage the Memphis Grizzlies as apart of the NBA restart. Justise Winslow might have that date circled.
While that would typically just be another game in any other year, as if any other year was quite like this one, it definitely takes on special merit here. Well, just a little bit and not only for Miami Heat fans, but apparently one former Miami Heat fan… and player.
Former Miami Heat big guard, Justise Winslow, certainly noticed the game in the restart schedule. Heck, as he says in the tweet, he even wants us to “circle it”, or has himself.
In case you missed it, after not playing much this season for the Miami Heat, Winslow was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder, and Solomon Hill. The trade has worked out pretty good for the Miami Heat, if only for what Crowder has brought to the team, while Winslow has still yet to suit up for Memphis.
We hope to see Justise on the court because that would mean he’s healthy. We also hope that the game is televised somewhere because we would love nothing more than to see him have to stand on this tweet.
Even in a scrimmage, the Miami Heat owe them for a defeat back in December and no more of a perfect time to remind them that they haven’t forgotten about it than then. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
