The Miami Heat are back and playing live actual games. Goran Dragic is back too, with a few new hobbies and the same abrasive game that we love to see.

The Miami Heat took the court on Wednesday for the first time since March 11th of 2020. In these long-awaited four months, we have seen bits and pieces of every part of their life, from their training regimens away from the facilities to what they were doing to keep from being bored.

Well, all of that is over now for the most part, as we have now turned our attention to the NBA Bubble. Inside that bubble though, they are not only fishing and playing cornhole, but there are also basketball games to be played.

Before the games were or are played though, there was plenty of recalibrating that needed to occur amongst the teams. Of course and again, along with a few extracurricular activities as well, it all had the players feeling brand new. Here is a tweet from the Miami Heat that shows what we mean.

Yes, there are still filthy rich people out here in the world that don’t or didn’t play golf, Goran Dragic was one of them. He also took an opportunity with the lights on him to show off his hops.

The newness stopped there for the Dragon though, as he was back to his old ways on Wednesday. Let’s look at the leadup a bit first though.

The Miami Heat got back on the court Wednesday night. Goran Dragic looked as if he never took a four-month break.

The Miami Heat started their run on Wednesday night, well sort of, in their first scrimmage of the restart. They were, of course, without Bam Adebayo and Kendrick Nunn, with both of them quarantining to get back after positive coronavirus cases.

The Miami Heat looked good and especially when you consider the layoff everyone has been on. They hit the court and immediately got back to doing what they have been doing all season, torching teams from the outside.

Goran Dragic was a key part of it all. Starting in the place of Nunn, where he is usually the Heat’s super sixth man, Dragic put the whole tool kit on display Wednesday night, in case you forgot.

If you wanted the jump shot from distance, which he has put in the faces of defenders all season long, he gave it to you. If you wanted the contested finish through contact, he gave it to you.

If you wanted him to go beyond that and convert the bucket while being fouled, yes, he gave you that too. Goran Dragic was in rare form on night one. You just love to see it.

Moving Duncan Robinson for Bradley Beal a moot point. dark. Next

Although neither he nor Jimmy Butler played in the second half, they did enough in the first half to let you know that they are ready. So even though we saw a brand new Goran Dragic, he gave us the same consistent production, and we love it
