Tyler Hero had one of his best games for the Miami Heat on Thursday.

Despite scoring just four points in the second half, Tyler Herro made the most of his 33 minutes on the floor in the loss against Milwaukee. Mostly due to his 16-point barrage in the first half.

Herro was all over the place: connecting on open jumpers, finding open lanes, and flat out knocking down his shots. It’s a welcome sight given his struggles in the Heat’s three scrimmages and his start to the regular season in Orlando, Florida.

Miami’s rookie shooting guard finished with 20 points, five assists, four rebounds, and a steal on Thursday. It’s the most points he’s scored since February 1st when he put up 23 points in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers, and now his tenth 20+ point game of the season.

The Bucks’ guard rotation is defensive savvy, making Herro’s 20 points all the more impressive. That and his ability to bring up/pass the ball in point guard-less lineups to keep the offense flowing. It will be interesting to see how Herro plays next after this performance.

With Butler and Dragic struggling with their own respective injuries/rest and rehabilitation, having another guard that can help to distribute the ball will be key for Miami.
