The NBA hiatus did wonders for the Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, they are new guys coming back and potentially two of a future ‘big 3’

Tyler Herro

When you look at the “new” Tyler Herro, his game has grown by leaps and bounds during the hiatus. He was an all-area scorer when the season was suspended but now appears to be the Miami Heat’s point guard of the future.

Look and for what it’s worth, he was hurt for a good stretch of games before the suspension was put into place, only coming back for a few minutes in the literal last game of the pre-suspension year against the Hornets, so this could have happened anyway if not for injury.

However, it didn’t and it now appears the way it appears. The hiatus definitely did Herro some good though, as he may now be the starting guy going forward.

Bam Adebayo

Bam Adebayo was an All-Star this year, so some will say that that was his leap. Slightly true, but what we didn’t see prior to the suspension was the eagerness and confidence to pull a jump shot that he has displayed since coming back.

Though he has only nailed a few, a pretty high post jumper in a recent game and a rainbow three over the head of Brook Lopez at the buzzer to end the third quarter in last week’s Bucks game, we have seen him take it more than ever. You also like the fact that although he is being way more aggressive with his jump shot specifically, he is also being quite a bit more aggressive on the offensive end period.

Look, when Bam starts to become a threat to knock down a jump shot of any sort, the days will get even longer for opposing defenses trying to contain him. For now though, we are just glad that he is taking more of them with confidence, as the hiatus seemed to have given him the personal green light there.
