The Miami Heat loves solid vets and just because they’ve been here before doesn’t mean they can’t improve.

Kelly Olynyk

Then you have those players, who although didn’t get “better” per se, they came back with a mission to bounce back at the top of mind. Kelly Olynyk fits that bill.

Since coming to the bubble, Olynyk has averaged nearly 15 points, nearly six rebounds, and three assists per contest. Compared to his season averages of eight points, four rebounds, and almost two assists per game, KO is a different guy.

The Miami Heat welcomes it too! To be completely frank, Olynyk has been one of the Heat’s better players since the bubble life started. That’s just being honest.

Andre Iguodala

Another player that took the time during the hiatus to bounce back is Andre Iguodala. Looking more and more springy as well as more and more like the guy who helped Golden State go on a dynastic run every day he spends with the Miami Heat, Iggy can and will be a key part of whatever they plan to do moving forward.

Iguodala is one of those guys who can do a little bit of everything, but is best for a team when he’s able to fill in wherever he might be needed the most. Sounds like the same thing, but it isn’t.

Guys who can do it all are oftentimes asked to do just that, “it all”, but they are oftentimes at their best when they can fall back and fill in exactly where it’s needed situationally per game, as opposed to always being counted on to do a myriad of auxiliary things on a schedule every game.

It’s a weird thing, but it’s the truth. Either way though, it appears that Iggy took that time away to get in better shape and more accustomed to his role… as in, what this team needs and how he fits or fills that need.

The Miami Heat are in a good place. I am sure of that.

For Beal or whoever, Duncan Robinson is untouchable. dark. Next

They have just as good a chance as any team in Orlando to win it all, that’s a fact. With the leaps and bounce backs that have been made by their players during the hiatus though, their chances are only growing by the day. But that’s how the suspension was the offseason-like hiatus these guys needed
