As the Miami Heat prepare to take on the Indiana Pacers in the first round, a couple of takeaways from their eight seeding games prior.

The Miami Heat didn’t go out guns blazing to end the (abbreviated) regular season, but they definitely left it looking ready to take on the Indiana Pacers in round one of the playoffs.

They finished the regular season at 44-29, and the Eastern Conference fifth seed. Thus setting up another round (four to seven, really) of Jimmy Butler versus T.J. Warren. While the Heat’s alpha dog denied the beef exists any longer, fans are still itching to see the next segment of this rivalry.

Most of Miami’s squad is healthy and able, with the only questions surrounding Derrick Jones Jr and the neck strain he suffered in their loss to Indiana in the regular-season finale. He wasn’t playing much before the injury but had his best game in the bubble against the Pacers.

Otherwise, the Heat are hungry and whole and hoping to begin carving out a path to an NBA Finals appearance starting with Game One against the Pacers on Tuesday. Before that, a look back at their eight seeding games, along with three takeaways from all the action.
