The Miami Heat are known for their player development systems, but that isn’t all. They are pretty good at developing future head coaches as well.

The Miami Heat are rolling strong through the playoffs. With just one game to win before they can call it a sweep over the Indiana Pacers, they are in the driver’s seat of their destiny right now.

While a trip to the Eastern Conference semi-finals awaits our beloved Heat, we turn our attention to other occurrences around the league. We know, we know, what else matters right now?

Not a ton, but there are some newsworthy nuggets worth sharing. The one that most catches our eye today revolves around a former Miami Heat championship player and a former coach within the organization.

Here is a tweet that shares the news. It comes from the Twitter account of one of the best in the business, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

That’s right! The former Fab Five, University of Michigan alum, and Miami Heat champion is the talk of head coaching searches right now. Well, at least he’s “gaining traction”.

The Miami Heat are constantly developing talent all over the place. One of their former coaches is now the talk of the town.

The current University of Michigan head basketball coach, Juwan Howard went 19-12 his first year with the program. The coaching interest might not last long though, as Howard himself came out to nix the traction.

Here is what the current and likely remaining head basketball coach at the University of Michigan had to say about the topic. This came from the personal Twitter account of the man himself.

Well, that about settles it. The current college basketball coach will continue to be just that.

As he stated though, the opportunity will surely present itself again and maybe at that time, he’ll be ready. As he said about now though:

"While I am flattered, and know it will more than likely happen again, I am NOT exploring, seeking, or listening. I am the HEAD COACH at the University of Michigan."

He certainly said that with his chest.

Good for Juwon. We wish him continued success at his alma mater and nothing less.

It just goes to show though, Heat Culture is real. It doesn’t only permeate the players themselves, but everyone who has ever come through the organization in any fashion. (Hey Nick Nurse)
