Should the Miami Heat prepare to sell high on what has been one of the NBA’s best young core’s this year come the offseason?

Quite possibly the biggest quandary for the Miami Heat this offseason is how they should approach any potential deals involving any of their younger personnel. Over the last year and change, they’ve put together one of the NBA’s better young cores.

And ironically enough, despite having two All-Stars in the mix, it’s those youth who’re largely to credit for the outright dominance we’ve seen from Miami at multiple times this season.

In order from youngest to oldest: Tyler Herro, Derrick Jones Jr, Kendrick Nunn, and Duncan Robinson have all played key roles in what is only their first or second seasons in the league.

Knowing that Pat Riley is out to bring another All-Star to South Beach, presumably by trade, it’s unlikely that all three will finish their careers here in Florida. They could all be used as assets in a deal, but knowing this Heat front office, it’ll have to be the right deal if they’re to give them up.

A look at the Miami Heat youth, their prominent play this season, and whether or not the front office should aim to sell high on their successful 2019-2020 campaigns.
