The Miami Heat are typically known for their defense, although this season knows them for the offense. They’ve gotten back to basics in the playoffs though.

The Miami Heat have a comfortable 2-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks after Game Two. While it is somewhat comforting, the Miami Heat can’t and won’t begin to sleep on their laurels, because a team with that much talent is still capable of beating you.

This Miami Heat team isn’t your typical team though, so while possible, it’s hard for me to imagine Jimmy Butler, Coach Spo, and the rest of the unit allowing them to lose four of the next potential five contests.

While this Miami Heat team has been known for their offensive explosions more than anything this year, with Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro, and Jae Crowder sparking it up from deep jump shot territory, this series has seen them really get back to the basics.

That’s another reason why I can’t see them losing four of the next five potential games, their defense won’t allow it. Let’s look at two specific examples from Games One and Two that paint the picture, then we will pan out to a general look.

From Game one, if you think back to the Giannis Antetokounmpo drive at the end of the game where he coughed it up, what did you see? You saw a wall of defenders between him and the rim, but also once he got to that apex point of having to make a decision about how he would go up to attack the rim, there were multiple defenders and sets of hands in his airspace.
