The Miami Heat are but one game away from the elusive second-round sweep. Making matters better, the “swept” team has a guy we’re courting.

The Miami Heat are one game away from doing it. What’s “it”?

Here, “it” is a second-round sweep over their NBA playoffs opponents, the Milwaukee Bucks. Not only is it a thing because it’s deeper into the playoffs, where you usually don’t see this type of lopsided affair, but also because the Bucks were the series and conference favorites.

What happened? What has gone wrong with the team with the best regular season record in the entire league?

Jimmy Butler has a ton do with it, that we can be sure of, but what about what they aren’t doing right? It seems that when things become their tightest, when the moments are the most crucial and in those apex moments that can swing the game one way or another, they fold like a lawn chair.

While that is no good for them, that is great for us. Why so?

It’s simple. Giannis Antetokoumpo will be a free agent in a year or so and we want him to join the team that is currently demolishing him.

The Miami Heat are only a game away from ending their second-round series early. Finishing it early, in sweeping fashion, would be the ultimate Giannis recruiting pitch.

With the current state of being, the Miami Heat being up 3-0 and just one game off of a series sweep, things are going exactly as we could have wanted them to. We will admit though, none of us can honestly say we saw it coming.

Either way, it has happened and we won’t complain. With the potential results and Sunday’s sweep, it brings us to this thought.

For the Miami Heat, sweeping Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks would be the ultimate recruiting pitch. Here’s why.

The Miami Heat already have their culture, their city, and the legacy that is each and every part of this organization to sell. Giannis sees how our guys play and how they go about approaching the game, that’s the culture.

He’s definitely been to the city of Miami and well, that pretty much speaks for itself. He has to know the winning legacy of the Miami Heat franchise in its relatively short existence, combined with the legacies of both Pat Riley and Coach Spo as an all-time great and future all-time great in this league.

All that stuff is out there. What this series and this potential series sweep has and can continue to do is this.

When a player is making a decision about where he or she wants to continue to play, the team they will be playing with has a ton to do with that. That’s how the original Miami Heat Big 3 era came about.

When Giannis looks at this team he is currently being manhandled by and thinks about it with him on the roster, that should be enough to do it with all the other stuff we have mentioned. If they are capable of doing this to him and his team, one that has been among the very best in the league for the last few seasons, then imagine what they can do with him and to anybody else.

Lastly, we can just look at a classic adage. Giannis has struggled with the new and improved Jimmy Butler led Miami Heat.

They say if you can’t beat them, join them. That’s the final reason.

So, life is good in Miami Heat land right now. We are but one game away from an NBA Conference Finals berth.

Taking a slight peep into the future though, this is also all good for us as well. You know why?

Because sweeping Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks will be the ultimate recruiting pitch. See you in a little while Giannis.
