The Miami Heat came out and took care of business in Game 5, closing out the series against the Milwaukee Bucks. A look at three takeaways.

Most would call it a game late, but the Miami Heat came out and took care of business on Tuesday night, closing out their series with the Milwaukee Bucks in a Game 5 victory.

It wasn’t Jimmy Butler’s best night and sharpshooter Duncan Robinson didn’t make a three-pointer, but they’ll get a chance to make good on their poor performance in the Eastern Conference Finals. Miami will play the winner of Boston and Toronto in the next round.

Now, the elephant in the room. You certainly have to take Tuesday’s win with a conveniently sized grain of salt, considering Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the last six quarters of basketball.

But don’t forget that the Heat had a series lead, two games to zero, before Antetokounmpo’s ankle injury that cost him the second half of Game 4 and forced his absence in Game 5.

Miami was prepared for this matchup, Giannis or no Giannis, that alone demands you pay them respect. Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez gave the last two games their all, while point guard Eric Bledsoe was nowhere to be found, and the Heat ultimately ended the Bucks’ season prematurely.
