Miami Heat guard Jimmy Butler is occupying himself with the hustle in Orlando

We’ve heard every complaint in the world from NBA players and coaches about the state of the bubble the Miami Heat are in.

It’s fair. The teams remaining have been locked in the semi-permeable NBA campus since mid-July, about two months. While the bubble’s capacity has diminished enough for the league to allow player families to come in to provide some semblance of home, staying in one place in isolation from those that matter most is difficult.

Then, tack on the ongoing pandemic and everything going on within the social justice front and it’s hard not to empathize with players who want to be near their loved ones during these strange times.

The best way to press on and stay focused is to keep occupied. Sitting around with one’s thoughts is a sure way to get in your own head. A body in motion stays in motion.

Seems like Jimmy has figured that out going into the Conference Finals.

Jimmy Butler is charging other NBA players money for coffee. Even Miami Heat teammates

Jimmy Butler has found an off-court hustle to occupy his time in the NBA bubble. A little side income never hurt, right?

The bubble has plenty of amenities, but Butler has cornered a market that’s probably hard to compete with right now — Premium coffee.

Butler has been selling coffee in the bubble.

A pro of his coffee shop — All sizes are the same price.

A con — They’re all $20.

Not the worst considering these players are making enough money to afford that, and with a shrinking customer base due to Butler knocking all of his competition out of the bubble, he needs to do something to keep his revenue up.

That said, closing the store on random off days probably isn’t the best way to keep customer retention up…

He’s already a marketing savant, too, donning some “Big Face Coffee” tank tops and face masks around the bubble. A shirt from BreakingT was even inspired by the hustle, too.

It was later reported by Nick DePaula that this is actually part of a marketing scheme for Butler to promote Lululemon, the high-end athleticwear company where his tanks and masks are from. Butler is soon to become the face of their brand.

For what its worth, Jimmy Butler can match the total value of his four-year contract by selling 7.1 million coffees of any size at Big Face Coffee.

Do your thing, Jimmy. We sure aren’t going to hate on the hustle so long as you keep winning games.
