The Miami Heat have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Boston Celtics after winning Game 2 on Thursday. A look at three takeaways.

It was another hard-fought match, but the Miami Heat captured Game 2 over the Boston Celtics on Thursday to make for a 2-0 series lead. The two teams will meet again on Saturday evening for Game 3, with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 pm EST. Coverage will be provided by ESPN.

An off night for Jimmy Butler made things tough on the Heat, but ultimately defense (as was the story in Game 1) got it done in Game 2. Miami’s alpha finished with 14 points on four-of-11 shooting but also had four rebounds, four steals, and three rebounds on the night.

One welcome sight for the Heat was Duncan Robinson finally breaking his “shooting slump” of recent. He knocked down six-of-12 shots from deep to finish with 18 points.

On the other side of the floor, Celtics star Jayson Tatum didn’t have a bad night, but he didn’t have the same 30 points and 14 rebound performance he had in Game One. The 21-year old forward finished with 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, and both a steal and a block on Thursday.

His slack, if you can call it that, was picked up by Kemba Walker who has been struggling recently getting the ball through the bottom of the net. Boston’s point guard finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in 33 minutes on the floor.
