The Miami Heat have owned competition in the playoffs, including Boston, being up 3-1. Why is the public money in Vegas screaming Boston in Game 5 then?

The Miami Heat are almost headed to the NBA Finals. The funny thing is this though, they have been the underdogs for most of the year and most of the playoffs.

Even heading into their Milwaukee and Boston matchups, beating one 4-1 and currently being up 3-1 in the series over the other, the pros everywhere said that though the Miami Heat are a good and scrappy team, the other teams are more talented and should win.

Well, that hasn’t quite panned out like the experts though it would, huh? Of course though, heading into Friday night’s Game 5 matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, there is more of the same.

Take this as evidence of our case. Here is a tweet from the Action Network‘s Darren Rovell that makes the case.

Suprise, surprise. I would like to say that we are, but to be extremley honest, clear, and transparent, we don’t have the slightest inkling or aren’t the least bit surprised.

The Miami Heat have a chance to close the door on the Boston Celtics in Friday’s Game 5. Why does the public think Boston will win then?

The Miami Heat are the Rodney Dangerfields of the NBA, they get no respect. That went even more so when Jimmy Butler decided to come here this past summer.

Either way though, let me be the first to fill you in on something. Vegas isn’t Vegas because they lose, as they didn’t build all those fancy buildings by being on the wrong side of wagers.

If the public money is on Boston, then that means that Vegas is betting on the Miami Heat. Let me also tell you this, Vegas doesn’t lose and if the wiseguys do somehow manage to take an L, it isn’t a massive one.

What this means is this. If the public overwhelmingly favors one side, as they do with Boston, then the smart bet is to go with Vegas and bet the house on the other side. That’s typically how it works out.

Nevermind the 3-1 lead that the Miami Heat have and the fact that no matter the lead, the Miami Heat have pulled close in every game, while they were in control of Game 4. Yea, nevermind all of that.

Bet your money, please, as it’s now lawfully the American Way. Don’t say you weren’t warned though.

Next. The mercurial case of Lebron James among NBA restart strike. dark

If that much of the regular guy money is going one way, the wiseguys are counting on a payday from the other direction. I promise.

I will be on their side, but you already knew that.
