The Miami Heat are headed to the NBA Finals. On the back of a Bam Adebayo outburst, they will face the Lakers in Game 1 on Wednesday.

The Miami Heat are headed to the NBA Finals. After a hard fought series against the Boston Celtics, they were able to end it on Sunday night in Game 6.

The Celtics looked to be ready to force a Game 7 as they surged ahead by six points with around nine minutes left in the contest, which forced an Erik Spoelstra timeout. After that timeout though, it was all Miami.

On the back of a few huge Bam Adebayo isolation plays in those moments and his great play all game, the Miami Heat were able to seal the victory. The Miami Heat will now head to the NBA Finals, where they will be the underdogs.

With the Lakers rumored to have wanted to face the Heat in the NBA Finals, it appears that they will indeed get their wish. If there is a team with the necessary tools to be able to counter what it is that the Lakers want to do, it’s the Heat.

The Heat have Bam Adebayo, who can defend anybody and that includes Anthony Davis. Not only can he stay with him along the perimeter, but he can also bang with Davis down low, which most people can’t.

Typically, if a defender can do one of those against Davis, that same defender can’t do the other. Bam Adebayo is different.

He will be able to hold his own there. The Miami Heat also have quite a few different wing options to throw at LeBron James, so that should be interesting as well.

The Heat will celebrate their Eastern Conference victory on Sunday, but get right back to it on Monday if we know Coach Spo like we think we do. This has been quite the run for the Miami Heat, but we know, they are not done yet.

There is more work to do and that all begins on Wednesday. We can’t wait to see it.
