Throughout the Miami Heat’s playoff run, Jimmy Butler has pushed back at the notion that the Heat have been underdogs at any point. He has continuously displayed the same confidence his team plays with on a nightly basis.

Simply put, the Heat don’t view themselves as underdogs no matter who they’re up against. That remains true ahead of the NBA Finals, as Butler once again explained how his team views themselves.

Notice he doesn’t mention the Lakers at any point in his answer.  It isn’t about the Lakers for Butler and the Heat, it’s about them knowing they are a ‘really good team’ and focusing on executing like they have all season.
