The Miami Heat have forced a Game 6 in the NBA Finals. Behind Jimmy Butler, they just keep finding ways to stay alive in this series.

The Miami Heat did it again. It can only evoke good emotions or memories.

You know that Progressive Insurance commercial, where the famous Progressive characters “Flo” and “Jamie” are talking and Jamie wants ice cream with sprinkles? Flo then tells Jamie, “Sprinkles are for winners”?

Well, give the Miami Heat their ice cream… and with lots and lots of sprinkles. They took down the Los Angeles Lakers once again Friday night.

The Lakers were undefeated in their Black Mamba jerseys, which pay homage to the late Kobe Bryant. However, the Heat changed that Friday night.

Jimmy Butler was a thing of beauty to behold Friday night as he got himself another triple-double. Besides Butler, there were 5 other players in double digits: Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Jae Crowder, so this truly was a team effort.

One of the main reasons why this win was so big was because Lebron James had 40 points and we still beat them. Anthony Davis also had a double-double to throw in, so it wasn’t as if LeBron was alone.

The Miami Heat have had their backs against the wall for a game or so now. They just keep finding ways to survive.

We’re going to need another big game from our top guys to keep pushing this series. I’m thinking that maybe Tyler Herro will have a big game, or maybe even Duncan Robinson with his seemingly refound aggression and shooting touch.

Perhaps the most iconic image of the whole game was towards the end of the 4th quarter. This was the one where Jimmy Butler was fouled before he ran off to the backside of the basket.

He was so gassed, that by the time he got there, all he could do was put his head down in fatigue.  Slumped over in pure exhaustion, Duncan Robinson came over to pat him on the back, appearing to continue to push Jimmy Butler as the end of the game was within reach.

Duncan Robinson hit seven three-pointers on Friday night as well. The only two players to hit more than that in an NBA Finals game are Steph Curry and Ray Allen.

When you put that into perspective, that is truly a remarkable feat. That is phenomenal company to be associated with.

Kendrick Nunn’s performance was reminiscent of his player of the month performances. Another incredible piece of information… Jimmy Butler only rested for 48 seconds (besides halftime) across the entire game.

Next. Jimmy Butler does have a little Michael Jordan in him. dark

After his postgame press conference, he walked off the stage in obvious pain and exhaustion. It’s time for him to take a few ice baths, eat some bananas, fuel up on some Gatorade, and be ready to go again in a very short period of time.

It’s time to get this to a Game 7 and shock the world. It’s time for more Miami Heat basketball!

Let’s Go Heat!
