The Miami Heat are headed to the offseason. After a grueling six-game NBA Finals series defeat, the Miami Heat must get back to the drawing board.
The Miami Heat have nothing to hang their heads about, as they played hard, never quit, and still have a good team. They have nothing to celebrate either though, as they were beaten badly in their elimination game.
Having that kind of taste left in your mouth is a good thing for a group and organization like the Miami Heat though. This is the kind of group that can take that and let it motivate them all the way back to the Finals again.
While it will certainly take motivation to get it done, that isn’t the only thing that it will take to get back to the NBA Finals. It will also take talent, of which the Miami Heat had this season.
Fortunately for them, some of their impending free-agents have already made it known that they want to come back. Jae Crowder has said that he wants to return, essentially, per a report from the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.
The Miami Heat a great year, but they didn’t finish. I say… run it back… but with an addition or two.
He isn’t the only one that has made it known what he would like to do moving forward though. Here is a post from the Instagram account of one of our favorite little players that says a ton as well.
You see it! “What we’ve built is something special and we’ll be back!!”
The Dragon has made his intentions clear and if what we have seen this season is any indication, we will be glad to have him back.
The plan that he was on this year has not only added another 2-3 years of this type of production to his career, but it has also allowed him to give his best stuff when it matters the most.
Yes, he was a starter during the playoffs and he might be next season in the postseason as well, but him off the pine during the regular year is a load for opposing teams to handle. That is a recipe for success moving forward.
Heck, simply having him back is already a win, as his performance this year has allowed him to write his own check wherever he wanted to be. We are glad that’s still in Miami though.
This year didn’t end how we wanted it to, but it was still a great season and Goran Dragic had a ton to do with it. We are glad he wants to stick around.
