The Miami Heat needed Jimmy Butler to be a little of everything this season… and he was!

Whether that be as a decoy, a screener, or the facilitator, he always had something to do with the most crucial plays for the Miami Heat this season on the offensive side of the ball. His defense still speaks for itself.

He is still a pest, but one of the highest order. He was still in the passing lanes.

He still crashed the boards. He continued to guard whoever needed to be guarded on the defensive end this season, whether that was the quickest player or the biggest player on the other team.

Jimmy Butler was everything he was advertised as coming into the season and more. We knew what we were getting but after seeing it for a year in a Miami Heat uniform, watching them as closely as I do, he is as much of the real deal as a two-way guy as they come.

It is for that reason that Jimmy deserves the following grade on his season.

A++

If there was any higher of a grade he could get, he would have. When you think about what he did for the Miami Heat in this past NBA Finals, it is remarkable.

He put it all on the line night after night, coming up with two masterpiece games across only a three-game span. It’s what the Miami Heat needed to have a chance and that’s what he gave him.
