The Miami Heat were a good team this season, but they were a piece or two short. Here are some names to keep in mind as we head into offseason.

Coming off an unbelievable run Miami looks to be in the driver’s seat when it comes to improving their roster this year and the next.  Miami had an unbelievable season that will be very special to all Miami Heat fans and while we all are very appreciative of the Finals run, we all know that Pat Riley and company aren’t happy with being two Finals win short of an NBA championship.

So, now it’s back to the grind.  With that, here are some free agents that I think Miami should take a look at.

Serge Ibaka :

We all know Serge Ibaka is a shot blocker but as he has gotten older, he has lost a step. But, it’s not a big enough step where he’s no longer impactful on the defensive end.

Also, Ibaka can stretch the floor as well, as he was shooting 38% percent from three this year. You can slide Ibaka in as the starting five, where Ibaka and Bam Adebayo would be a nice front line who should cause problems are the defensive end.

He isn’t the only former Toronto Raptor that may be of interest to the Miami Heat this offseason, but he would be the first option. I can be convinced to bring them both in as a package deal.

You know who we are talking about… or at least, you should. Both the point guard and Ibaka have played for Nick Nurse, so the Miami Heat way won’t be that unfamiliar to them (Nurse came through the Miami Heat’s coaching network).
