Miami Heat Free Agency is here. How will they look to improve this team?
Harry Giles III:
I Can’t believe the Sacramento Kings declined his fifth-year option. Well, I actually can because they are the Kings.
Getting to my point though, Giles has dealt with injures throughout his young career but this year he took a positive step forward by playing real minutes consistently.
Miami liked Giles in the draft as well, but he can help the Miami Heat now. The thing that Giles would help Miami with is when Bam Adebayo is off the floor.
Giles can pass from the elbow and can run the dribble handoff as well. He would be a nice project for Miami to have.
Jevon Carter:
Jevon Carter is a hard noise player, especially at the defensive end. He’s a true point guard who can run your offense, shoot as well (38% from three), and can guard opposing point guards.
He doesn’t do anything pretty but he does all the little things, which the Miami Heat needs/loves. Carter picks up 94 feet at times as well.
Justin Holiday:
I wanted Miami to sign Justin Holiday last offseason. Holiday is your typical three and d guy, who shoots it especially well from the corner.
He’s also a very long human being, literally. Miami would be a nice fit for Holiday
Gary Payton II:
Gary Payton II is a very very good on-ball defender that can guard any type of guard you throw at him. If you’re Miami, it’s something you might want to kick the tires on.
We made it work with the first GP, why not number 2?
The Miami Heat have a ton of work to do in this offseason. They have a team capable of doing great things, that seems to be just a piece or two away.
They and Pat Riley will find that piece. It’s potentially on the above list.
Either way it goes, we can’t wait to see what moves they make. These though, are a few guys to keep an eye on as all the business goes down.
