The Miami Heat have been linked to quite a few guys already this offseason. Let’s go through each and see how it might look in Miami.

We have reached that point in the Miami Heat offseason and/or NBA year where we are reacting to every trade or free agency rumor that we hear. Especially when the rumor is about our favorite team.

Miami Heat fans, the rumor mill is popping and there are always rumors about Miami being linked to almost everyone. If you have noticed anything about the Miami Heat’s support on Twitter, it’s that anybody can be put in a Vice Jersey.

There are no cares about who it is. Like every fan base, we think we can acquire anyone from any team but are some of these rumors going around actually sensible? Let’s break down some of the rumors or potential rumors.

Victor Oladipo

For the past couple of years now, Victor Oladipo has had Miami on his radar and more recently, reports have indicated that there is a linkage between the two sides. Personally, I like Oladipo’s game and think that if he’s healthy, knowing that is a big if with him lately, he could really help out Miami on both sides of the ball.

He would also be another shot creator for Miami. Having said that, there are some concerns with Oladipo.

Heath has to be a concern if we’re being honest. Oladipo was only a star player in the league for a couple of months, which led to him becoming an All-Star.

Oladipo still carries himself as that player and from the outside looking in, it almost appeared as if he didn’t care this season nor did he really want to still be in Indiana. Before the season shut down, he didn’t look great, which is to be expected coming off the injury that he had but once the bubble was announced, there were rumors that Oladipo didn’t even want to play.

His play in the bubble wasn’t the best either, so his value is at a low right now. The question is this… should Miami take a look at him?

Yes, well kind of, as it depends on what the deal is with Indiana. If I’m Miami, my offer is Kendrick Nunn, Kelly Olynyk, and the 20th pick but other than that, I would pass.

Miami will be in the hunt for a bigger fish next offseason. So, if they land Dipo, fine but if not, that’s fine too.
