The Miami Heat have one of the best buying their groceries, while the cook isn’t so bad either. Pat Riley should be salivating to get in on some of Morey’s creative bargaining.

The Miami Heat should be able to get into some primetime deals

The Miami Heat have the preeminent dealmaker on their side in Pat Riley. Let’s just put that out there first.

The Philadelphia 76ers have one of the most active dealmakers on their side in Daryl Morey. Why do we say that?

Well, in his time in Houston, he made over 70 trades. In fact and across his 13 years in Houston, he made 77 exactly according to FiveThirtyEight, which was only bested by the guy he mentored in Sam Hinkie and ironically of the team Morey now works for.

What this means for Miami is that all of these deals won’t be two-way transactions, meaning the 76ers and some other team, as it will take more teams to help facilitate some of these deals. With Pat Riley at the helm, expect him to take advantage of Morey’s dealmaking ways to try to constantly be improving the Heat.

It’s really a tailor-made situation for the Godfather when you think about it. Really, think about it for a second.

Now, do you see what I mean?

After a few weeks to decompress, all is well again in Miami Heat land. We didn’t win it all, but that’s ok because we are ahead of schedule and what we have accomplished already tells us that we are only a few pieces away from winning it all.

Expect to see us in June again. Because that’s what we anticipate happening.
