The Miami Heat are in a pickle of a decision. Are they going to do all they can to win this year, as they are close, or wait for their whale in Free Agency?
The Miami Heat have choices to make and soon. While the NBA Free Agency market is heating up, the NBA Draft is just a week or so away.
With a few holes to fill, but also while being so close to being a title worthy team, the Miami Heat are sure to be active. That’s just the thing though.
Should they be going all in to fill in those one or two pieces they were missing last season for their title run… or should they stick to the guns that they have been sticking to for the last few seasons? What guns are those?
I am glad you asked.
Well, we know that Pat Riley is a whale watcher. He wants the big fish, presumably Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Miami Heat are in a tricky position, but it isn’t bad at all. With good results potentially on either side, will they choose one over the other?
That’s why the Miami Heat have maintained salary cap flexibility that most proportionally lines up with Giannis’ free agency. Again though and as mentioned, they were also just a few small pieces away from being able to hoist a title trophy this past season.
Decisions… decisions. Which one will it be?
Will the Miami Heat sacrifice what it may take to land The Greek Freak, in order to fill in those voids from this past season? I don’t know, but I definitely think that they shouldn’t choose one way or another.
I believe that you have to go for it when it’s available. They should also do all that they can to maintain a certain sense of flexibility, in order to maneuver if they have to in order to keep The Freak in play, but they should also add to what they have now.
I know, I didn’t choose. But you all feel the same way, right?
There are ways to do both. If there is anybody who can do it, figure it out, and that I trust with all of this, it’s Pat Riley.
There is no one that I would rather have. That’s a fact.
We shall keep an eye on it, but we always want to win as much as possible. Whether that be now and/or in the future… that’s always the goal.
