The Miami Heat may have missed out on Jrue Holiday, but they still need to improve. It’s their move now… what’s Pat Riley going to do?

They still need to go get those pieces to put them over the top

The Miami Heat now must make a move. On top of the fact that they couldn’t find a way to beat Los Angeles in the NBA Finals, they must now contend with a retooled Milwaukee Bucks team.

Nevermind any other improvements made by other teams in the conference and throughout the league. The Miami Heat have a few options, but they must get something done.

Whether that be Danilo Gallinari, Victor Oladipo, a look at DeMarcus Cousins, or something else, they now have to make a play. The ball is in their court.

The Miami Heat have a Giannis Antetokounmpo problem

The Miami Heat now have a Giannis Antetokounmpo problem. The plan has seemingly been to wait on him and his free agency, but this move by Milwaukee makes you believe that he might be planning to stay and more so, that Milwaukee has bet the farm on it.

Well, there’s also this. Here’s a little nugget from Marc Stein of the New York Times, he’s a guy that always in the know.

"The last two weeks have been filled with chatter that Giannis Antetokounmpo indeed plans to sign his five-year supermax with the Bucks before the Dec. 21 deadline to do so … The Bucks just made a trade that suggests they must believe it"

Things just got sticky for the Miami Heat. Decisions must be made.

That leads to our fourth and final implication.
