Miami Heat: 3 Reasons why Precious Achiuwa can contribute right now

The Miami Heat drafted another potential freak athlete in Precious Achiuwa. On top of that, he’s already a pretty large human being to begin with.

His Size

The Miami Heat go for a certain type of guy. They tend to want guys who are capable of doing a lot, at least a few things.

Achiuwa fits that role. He’s big.

He’s long. He’s rangy.

He’s athletic. Did we mention that he was big?

At 6’9″ and 225 pounds, he is already ready to do work in the league. If you take a hard look at his shoulders and the way he uses them, that’s an indicator as well.

He already has good strength and as Givony mentioned, he may have been the best athlete in the entire draft. Throw in the fact that among all the players in his conference during his lone season at Memphis, he was the best of the bunch.

This was in light of the fact that he was still pretty raw and needs to work on his jump shooting. Achiuwa has the size and physical gifts to be able to make an impact from day one.
