The Miami Heat lost Jae Crowder to the Phoenix Suns in Free Agency. As much as that hurt us as Heat fans and as much as admitting it burns my soul, they were winners too.

Phoenix Suns

It’s hard to find a team that had a better free agency than the Phoenix Suns. In addition to trading for Chris Paul, aka CP3, aka the Point God, Phoenix also signed Jae Crowder, E’Twaun Moore, and brought back Dario Saric and Jevon Carter.

Even though the Suns lost Ricky Rubio and Kelly Oubre, this team will still look to compete in a loaded Western Conference. Crowder and Moore will provide much-needed defense, along with Chris Paul.

As much as it hurts losing Crowder if you’re Miami, fans should still be happy he went to a good team. We can root for Jae a bit, as long as the opposing team doesn’t have “Miami” or “Heat” across the fronts of their laundry.

Will all of these moves keep their resident superstar and walking bucket, Devin Booker, happy? That remains to be seen but the Suns should be in a position to make the playoffs.

They should be in a position to even go beyond that. With this roster, the nice mix of veterans and younger talent, they should definitely make some noise in the Western Conference.
